Learning Ally Appoints Dr. Molly Ness Vice-Chair of Academic Council to Advance Organization’s Mission “Literacy for All”


PRINCETON, N.J., January 26, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — learning ally, a leading nonprofit education solutions organization working with American educators to improve reading achievement, named Dr. Molly Ness as Vice President of Academic Content. Dr. Ness will support the organization’s solutions design team in the development and advancement of its early and whole-child literacy framework.

Dr. Ness holds a doctorate in reading education from University of Virginia. She is a former teacher and a leading researcher in the science of reading. For sixteen years, she was an associate professor of early childhood education at Fordham University in New York, and is the author of four books and numerous peer-reviewed articles. In 2019, she started the Book end deserts podcast to draw attention to the issue of book access and equity. She serves on the Board of Directors of the International Literacy Association and on the Elementary Advisory Committee of Penguin Random House.
