The Episcopal Evangelization Society (EES) is looking for a multicultural missionary to develop our network in the Latin / Hispanic communities of the Episcopal Church, in particular in Province IX. The EES provides grants for innovative evangelism projects, to students, teachers and staff of local seminars or training programs. We seek to be transformed by what we learn from the work of our beneficiaries.
Essential job functions and main responsibilities:
Seek opportunities to network and represent HEI and HEI grants opportunities to Latino / Hispanic church leaders and students in leadership training
Identify and represent HEIs at gatherings and conferences where potential stakeholders are present
Participate, with the Director General, in the development of promotional materials for the EES
Represent the EES, with the Director General, at the General Congress
Consult and coach Spanish speaking candidates during the application process
Review and edit translated media
Required Skills :
Must be a practicing Episcopalian
Must offer a vibrant and informed articulation of episcopal evangelization in the contemporary context
Must be fluently bilingual (Spanish and English): oral, written and reading
Must be computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and demonstrated proficiency in social media
Must pass background check
Minimum education and experience required:
Bachelor’s degree required; some preferred theological training
Experience in public speaking and building stakeholder groups
Personal qualities:
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Ability to travel, both at home and abroad
Self-motivated and able to creatively implement a vision; comfortable with “development as you go”
Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative management style
