Srinagar administrator organizes capacity building program for ZEOs, HoIs at GHSS, Kothibagh

Srinagar, November 02: The Srinagar District Administration on Tuesday held an informative one-day capacity building program for Zone Education Officers (ZEOs) and Heads of Schools (HoIs) of Srinagar District Elementary Schools in government upper secondary school, Kothibagh, here.
The program on âHow to Improve Learning Outcomes in School Educationâ was organized on the instructions of the District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad to improve and strengthen the education scenario in Srinagar district.
Srinagar Planning Officer Mohammad Yaseen Lone, Education Officer Manzoor Ahmad Kumar, Deputy Education Officer, Zone Education Officers, Resource Persons and Elementary School Directors, among others, attended the program.
On occasion, several experts spoke on the subject and stressed the importance of such programs and participants were informed about the level of student achievement and measures to be taken to improve learning outcomes at different levels.
Planning Director Srinagar made a detailed presentation regarding gross enrollment rate, net enrollment rate and achievement levels in the National Achievement Survey (NAS). He also suggested several measures that need to be implemented at the elementary school level to improve learning outcomes.
During the program, a question-and-answer session was also organized on various issues relating to the topic. All the questions were well received and answered correctly to the satisfaction of the heads of institutions. They also benefited from an exhaustive presentation of the various systems implemented within the School Education Department.
At the end of the program, the Deputy Director of Education, Anjum Raja, presented a vote of thanks.
