CAT 2022: The Common Admission Test (CAT 2022) application process will start from Wednesday, August 3, candidates can apply through the official website- iimcat.ac.in from 10 o’clock. The CAT 2022 application is basic and consists of steps – registration, filling the application form, uploading documents and paying the registration fee. “At the time of registration, applicants must select six test cities, based on their preference, from a drop-down menu. After the last date of registration, applicants will be assigned one of six preferred cities subject to availability. in the rare event that an applicant is not assigned any of the preferred cities, he/she will be assigned a neighboring city,” the CAT notification said.

To apply for CAT 2022, applicants belonging to the general category have to pay an application fee of Rs 2,300 while Rs 1,150 for the SC, ST and PwD categories. CAT 2022 will be held on November 27 around 150 test cities across the country.
CAT 2022: Eligibility
Candidates applying for the Common Admission Test must hold a Bachelor’s or Professional Degree (CA/CS/ICWA/Fellow of Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI). Candidates fall under the general categories /EWS/NC-OBC must obtain 50 percent of the marks at graduation, while 45 percent of the marks for candidates in the reserved category (SC/ST/PwD).
Reservation
According to the CAT 2022 notification, 15% of the seats are reserved for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for candidates from Scheduled Tribes (ST), 27% for candidates from other backward classes belonging to the “non-creamy” layer “. (NC-OBC), up to 10% for applicants from economically weaker sections (EWS) and 5% for reference persons with disabilities (PwD).

CAT 2022: important dates
- Opening of registrations: August 3, 2022 (10 a.m.)
- Deadline for registration: September 14 (5 p.m.)
- Admission card download: October 27 – November 27, 2022
- Test date: November 27
- Declaration of results: second week of January 2023 (provisional).
Admit card
The CAT 2022 exam will be held on November 27. Applicants can download the admission card from the official website- iimcat.ac.in from October 27 to November 27.
To download the CAT Admission Card 2022, applicants must use the application number and password from the official website – iimcat.ac.in. The CAT 2022 admission card will appear on the screen, download it and print it for future reference.
paper pattern
The CAT will be held for a duration of two hours. The document will consist of 64 to 76 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with total points of 192 to 228. The document will consist of questions from three sections – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Data interpretation and logical reasoning; and quantitative capacity.
The CAT is a national-level eligibility test and is held for admission to postgraduate business programs.
