Since last year, the Indian education system has evolved considerably and e-learning has gained considerable popularity in the country. Traditionally dominated by classroom teaching and struggling with the lack of digital infrastructure, it has transformed at a rapid pace to adapt to the new paradigm created since the onset of Covid-19.
The rise of technology and business analytics is changing the dimensions of business across the globe. Organizations use Business Analytics so they can make data-driven decisions. Business Analytics gives businesses great insight and insight into how businesses can become more efficient. This information allows these companies to optimize and automate their processes. Business Analytics also offers the right support and coverage for companies looking to make the right proactive decisions. One of the apparent importances of business analytics is that it provides essential business insights. It does this by presenting the right data to make it work. This goes a long way in making decision-making more efficient, but also easy.
Most of the universities run a competency-based analysis program in both online and offline mode. As analytics becomes the backbone of every area of any organization, the need to learn analytical methods and related technology tools drives professionals towards analytics programs and modules.
Today, technology has begun to change the roles of teachers and learners. In the traditional classroom, the teacher is the main source of information and the learners receive it passively. This model of the teacher as “wise on stage” has existed in education for a long time and is still very present today. However, due to the access to information and educational opportunities that technology has enabled, in many classrooms today, we are seeing the role of the teacher shift to the role of ‘side guide’ as that students take more responsibility for their own learning by using technology to gather relevant information. . Schools and universities across the country are beginning to redesign learning spaces to enable this new model of education, foster more interaction and small group work, and use technology as an enabler.
The perception of online courses, especially business analytics courses, has changed significantly over the past decade. The Internet has allowed teachers and learners to join a class in real time. The physical presence of the monitor is not compulsory. Today, most employers and educational institutions understand that an online degree is as effective and educational as a regular degree program. Recent years have indeed seen the prevalence of online degree programs. However, the demand for offline courses is still remarkably high. Indeed, offline Business Analytics programs allow students to communicate with peer groups and directly ask questions of their professors, which can lead to the development and improvement of interpersonal skills in a digital mode.
Different people have different learning styles. Some people like the opening of an offline learning environment where they can ask questions and chat with others. Other people are more thoughtful thinkers and like to take in what they read and reread it until it sticks, whether online or in textbooks. They like to learn at their own pace, and classroom learning forces them to learn at the pace of the class, which can frustrate them. If the two modes are compared, the advantages of online education include geographic independence, flexible schedules, better time management, recorded class, learner convenience. Offline education is better in terms of individual tracking, structure and discipline, face-to-face interaction, peer bonding, and competitive environment. The first approach is more important and better suited to the Business Analytics program. Therefore, most of the Analytics programs are so popular in offline mode.
The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) recommends the adoption of a hybrid mechanism in which students can learn the behavioral skills as well as the concept and theories of the field in offline mode and equip themselves with the skills relevant for their work. daily in the office. . If a conclusion needs to be drawn, both modes have their own pros and cons and a hybrid approach can yield the best results for Business Analytics.
